I am reading a book After ever after by Jordan Sonnenblick and so far I've really enjoyed it. The story is about this kid Jeffery Alper who used to have cancer and is all better now, but is constantly remembering that he is a cancer survivor. First of all, he has a permanent limp, wears glasses and his brain lost a lot of stem cells, so he is really bad at math. Strangely enough, he can write really really well. He is in 8th grade and he is trying to pass the math state test and it is really hard and he thinks he will fail for sure. His best friend is Tad and he also had leukemia, so he is a cancer survivor as well. They made a bet that Jeffrey will pass the math test and Tad will walk across the stage during the 8th grade graduation. Oh, I forgot to mention that Tad is in a wheelchair, so they will help each other: Jeffrey is going to train Tad in the exercise room, and Tad will tutor Jeff in math because he is really good at it. There is a new girl Lindsay in his class and Jeffrey and he really likes her. I'm at the point in the book, where Jeffrey and Lindsay went to the Halloween dance together and he told her about his cancer and she thought is was cool and told him that her grandmother had breast cancer and that's why she understood the whole cancer thing.
