the aquatic maze

I'm reading a book called The Trials Of Death by Darren Shan. The main character Darren,has to face five trials and one mistake leads to death. Every single vampire has to do five trials. They pick out a rock a bag and do that trial. He gets one day to practice the trial he picks.There are twenty-three trials in total. Darren went to pick a rock from the bag and got trial eleven which was the aquatic maze. He has a cetrain out of time to do the maze with a rock half the weight as him, and the longer it takes him to complete the maze the higher the water rises and could drown if he takes too long. I think that he will actually complete the trial if he knows how to swim. Also he gets a day to practice a different maze for twenty-four hours. The book just can't end with him failing the first trial. How would he be able to tell if he's been in that place yet? Well, you'll find out next time i post next week.
