Crank it up
I have gotten far into this book called Crank by Ellen Hopkins and there has been a lot of crazy things going on. First, the main character, Kristina, started doing drugs with her father, boyfriend, and her boyfriend's other girlfriend!! (do you see something wrong with that picture?) Then, she went home to her mother after spending so much time with her father. (3 weeks) Now she is hooked on drugs, alcohol, and smoking. Wow, she has such a great father! She is craving the stuff more and more. She soon finds two new boyfriends. They then become her "connection". But one of them soon rapes her and now she will be scarred for life. She hates that she lost her virginity like that. This book gets more and more intense each page.

Wow, that's certainly complicated. It seems like there are a lot of things that make you uncomfortable in this book, and rightly so. Do you sympathize with Kristiina? Why or why not?

ReplyDeleteWow Leo, i didn't think the book was that weird at first. I knew there was drugs and stuff like that but there was so many things that makes this book uncomfortable and awkward. I want to read that book now.
